A special retrospective exhibition celebrating the life and work of much-loved local artist Robert Collins will run from Wednesday 7th January to Sunday 8th March 2026, at Tetbury Goods Shed, offering visitors the chance to explore over 50 years of creative achievement.

Born in Gloucestershire in 1952, Robert studied at Gloucestershire College of Art before continuing his education at the Royal College of Art in Kensington. A highly versatile painter working predominantly in oils, his work spans landscapes, still life, portraits, interiors and architectural subjects — from historic ruins in St Lucia to striking large-scale paintings capturing English rites and rituals.

Renowned for his mastery of colour, light and composition, this exhibition showcases the immense variety of Robert’s work and his lifelong dedication to his craft. Robert sadly passed away in September 2024, aged 72, making this exhibition both a celebration and a tribute to his artistic legacy.

The exhibition is free to attend and open 10am–4pm, Wednesday to Sunday (closed Mondays and Tuesdays, and occasionally for other events — visitors travelling from further afield are advised to call ahead).

An opening night will be held on Wednesday 21st January from 6–7.30pm, and all are warmly welcome.

For further information, please visit robcollinsart.com or contact Robert’s son, Henry, on 07446 588322 or hello@laschmoove.com.

Henry is currently compiling a record of Rob’s lifetime of work and welcomes contact from anyone who owns one of his paintings, along with a photograph if possible.
