Mills Brewing x Dr Jenner’s House Unveil a Grape-Infused Beer
Dr Jenner’s House is raising a glass – quite literally – to celebrate a new collaboration with their friends at Mills Brewing, who have crafted a limited edition beer made with grapes harvested from the historic vines in Dr Jenner’s garden.
This unconventional brew marries the character of traditional beer with the unexpected brightness of grapes, creating something as intriguing and complex as Jenner himself. It’s a playful nod to the spirit of curiosity that defined Jenner’s work, and a reminder that great things can happen when science and creativity meet.
“Edward Jenner was known for challenging assumptions and experimenting in ways that transformed the world,” said James Rodliff, museum Director. “Working with Mills Brewing felt like a wonderfully fitting tribute to that inventiveness.”
Mills Brewing, known for their expressive, naturally fermented beers, were equally enthusiastic about the collaboration:
“We were delighted to be able to work with the Dr Jenner’s House to make this unique drink, and in our small way, support the great work being done to educate and celebrate the history and future of vaccines. It is quite remarkable that the vines have been kept in such good condition for over 200 years and continue to be by the brilliant volunteers there.”
To support the museum’s work, or simply toast Jenner with something delicious, visit: Mills Brewery to purchase this extraordinary beer. A percentage from every bottle purchased will be donated to the museum.
About The Jenner Museum
The Jenner Museum is dedicated to preserving and celebrating the legacy of Dr. Edward Jenner, the pioneering physician whose groundbreaking work in vaccination helped transform global public health. Located in his historic home and garden, the museum, which opened in 1985, offers exhibitions and education and outreach programmes that illuminate his life and lasting influence on modern medicine. We are underway with a project to restore and reinterpret the Temple of Vaccinia, the world’s first vaccination clinic, set within his beautiful garden. Find out more about our ambitious plans to restore and revitalise the wider museum site.
The museum is currently closed for the winter but will reopen in spring 2026.
