Longfield Community Hospice is running a free Will writing service, offering local people an opportunity to write or update a standard single or mirror Will during September. The hospice has partnered with local and highly rated solicitors who will donate their time and expertise to help you make or update a simple Will for FREE. All they ask for, in return, is a donation to the hospice.
Many people are put off writing a Will because of the costs involved. In fact, research shows that over half of UK adults do not have a Will. But making a Will is one of the most important things you can do to protect the future of your family and loved ones.
Suggested donations to Longfield are a minimum £90.00 for a straightforward single Will or £160 for an uncomplicated pair of mirror Wills, and you are welcome to donate more. All money donated will directly support local people coping with a life-limiting illness or grief.
Three reasons to write your Will today:
- A Will guarantees your estate is left to the people you choose and not subject to certain rules which dictate how your money, property and possessions should be allocated.
- Having a Will in place gives you peace of mind and control over what happens to your estate after you die.
- A gift to a UK charity in your Will is free of inheritance tax and can reduce the amount of inheritance tax you pay
