At the heart of this wonderful community lays a fantastic hockey club that is looking to recruit. At present the club is looking to recruit the following for our ladies section:
- Senior players of all abilities, we are very proud of our three ladies senior teams that allow players of all abilities and experiences to represent the club.
- Ladies 1st XI Head Coach, required for training once a week and for weekend matches.
Our ladies section made a successful return to action post-covid, as a club we are keen to build on this successful return to see more players training, representing the club on weekends but most importantly enjoying playing hockey. Our ladies teams currently compete in the following leagues:
1st XI Ladies Verde West Hockey Division 1
2nd XI Ladies Verde West Hockey Berkeley Division 2
3rd XI Ladies Verde West Hockey Berkeley Division 3
Our ladies section is able to offer outdoor hockey as well as indoor hockey. We regularly see our ladies teams compete in the Bristol Indoor Hockey league. Recently the club, in partnership with KLB Sport, have run a successful Crowdfunder to purchase indoor hockey equipment. This will allow us as a club to grow the indoor game.

Our recruitment doesnt end there, following the success of our junior section and the combination of the hockey success seen recently at KLB School, we are now offering the opportunity for junior players to pick up a stick and start playing. We are delighted to be able to offer free hockey taster sessions to players of all abilities.
We are very proud of our junior section, that like our senior section, will train once a week and have weekend fixtures. Our junior teams also compete in outdoor and indoor leagues, where they have seen their fair share of success. We have seen our junior teams, boys and girls, achieve regional and national success this year, something as a club we can look back at with tremendous pride but also something that we are keen to build on.
(Our under 16 boys collected a gold medal in the England Hockey T2 Regional Club Championships).
