Cheltenham’s local medical charity Cobalt is calling on keen runners (and walkers) to take on its 3k -5k festive fun run (walk) this Christmas.

The independent charity will be hosting its first ever Reindeer Run on Sunday, December 7th at 10.30am in the grounds of National Star College, Cheltenham.

The event, sponsored by TMC (Technical Management Consultancy), will see participants donning Christmas jumpers and antlers as they walk, dash, dance and prance along the routes.

Participants will receive a pair of reindeer antlers with their registration which is now open with special Early Bird discount. With the discount a family ticket is just £25.00. Perfect way to get into the spirit of Christmas!

Emily Janes, Events and Community Fundraiser at the charity, said: ‘Reindeer Run is a new event for Cobalt, and we are so excited to introduce such a fun event. It’s such a fun way of getting the whole family involved with a local charity while getting in the festive spirit. We are excited to welcome everyone for a fun event for a worthwhile cause including well behaved dogs like Ralf (pictured in his Christmas outfit). We are incredibly grateful to TMC who have agreed to sponsor this event.’

Catherine Watkinson , owner of TMC, said, “We are delighted to be part of Cobalt’s first-ever Reindeer Run. Christmas is such a special time of year, and it’s wonderful to be involved in an event that brings people together to have fun while also making a real difference for charity. Cancer and dementia are causes very close to my heart, so being able to support Cobalt through this event means a great deal to me.”
