We are leaving the day free for family and friends to celebrate at home or to go shopping in town and visit the local cafes and pubs to watch this special event on the tv.

Sunday May 7th

Wotton Silver Band play on Wotton Hill

Coronation informal family service including refreshments at St Marys Church involving local schools.

Coombe gardens will be open to the public in a charity fundraiser with teas on the old allotments and dancing around the Maypole

Coronation Town Hall Teas with lovely homemade cakes, music, and entertainment in Market Street

Monday May 8th Coronation Family Fun Day at Synwell Playing Fields!

Lots of entertainment including BBQ, music, giant outdoor games, bouncy castles, circus skills, footy competitions, African drumming, climbing wall, bushcraft skills, arts & crafts, Read With Me, and so much more! Bring your own picnic and have loads of fun!

Tourism

The Town Council is also working hard with tourism experts on encouraging visitors by writing content for magazines, websites, social media, and other publications. We are also working with the Stroud District Tourism Partnership and encouraging local businesses to get more involved and to sign up to Visit the Stroud District – Tourism, Communities and Business together (visitstroud.uk)

If you have any queries, you are welcome to attend the Town Council monthly meetings or to contact the Town Clerk: clerk@wotton-under-edge.com or Tel: 01453 843210
