Wotton friends, Jenny Davis and Pauline Roberts, recently took part in their 20th Race for Life raising funds for Cancer Research. Over the last twenty years they have raised thousands of pounds for the charity.
In May 2020, Jenny’s husband, Roger, died of cancer. Jenny & Pauline completed a 5k course around Wotton-under-Edge, collecting donations at local pubs on their way round in Roger’s memory.
2023 marks the 30th year of Race for Life with over 10 million people taking part and over £940m raised for Cancer Research UK. These funds have helped develop radiotherapy which in turn helps over 130,000+ patients every year.
