Sharing is Caring

A busy couple of months at Wotton Walking Football Club, this weekend saw the first round of fixtures in the GFA Over 50s league. Wotton fielded a team focusing on youth, speed and power, expectations were high. Four games, including one friendly, meant the boys were asked to play 80 mins of football in awful weather conditions. We bagged two wins from the three league games, beating opponents from South Wales and Bristol in resounding fashion.

Our Friday evening game goes from strength to strength at KLB, but we are always looking for new players. We aren’t just looking for league players, we are looking for any players, any level of experience, any level of fitness. We regularly have mental health evenings at the pub and are looking forward to our Christmas meal. Ideally over 50, or at least feel like they are over 50, and upwards. We regularly field players in their 70s, who still teach the young’uns a thing or two.
