Sharing is Caring

St John Ambulance is the largest medical charity supporting communities across the country, as well as providing training and inspiration for young people who may be keen to explore a future in the medical field. The cadet units are a great opportunity for young people to learn life saving skills, engage with like-minded people and make life-long friends in the process.

Cadets learn a variety of skills and topics during the course of their time at St John Ambulance, and this puts them in good stead for future prospects. We also work with Duke of Edinburgh, local youth groups and schools. Cadets will also be expected to undertake event cover as they become more experienced, giving them real life skills. There is also opportunity to join cadets from across the country at camps, trips and celebrations.

Starting soon, a new Cadet unit is coming to Dursley, being held on Monday evenings between 18:30 and 20:30 each week during school term times. If your child would like to join the waiting list, please follow the links below, or search “St John Ambulance Cadets”.

We are, however, in need of adult youth helpers and leaders to ensure these unit evenings are as safe and informative as possible. If you are interested in volunteering regularly, then please email me. This would be subject to a valid full DBS check.
