Longfield Hospice is calling on the community to don their brightest white’s ready to paint the town red, yellow, blue….. and sign up for the annual “Run the Rainbow” event on June 29, 2024. This 5K run, set on the beautiful Frampton estate, promises a day of colourful fun, laughter, and unity, all for a great cause.
This is no ordinary 5k run. Runners – or walkers, skippers or dancers – will be pelted with powder paint and fired at with foam, whilst supporting Longfield to provide much-needed care for people with life-limiting illnesses. The route is family-friendly and there’ll be food, face-painting and plenty of lively music to keep everyone motivated to get to the finish line.
Afterwards, runners can chill out with a picnic by the lake. There’s no charge for spectators, so family and friends can join in the fun – enthusiastic cheering is definitely encouraged!
David Levick, Event Co-ordinator for Longfield urges locals to sign up:
“We can only offer the free care we do thanks to the support of the local community. Please do sign up, come along and bring some friends too. Why not get a group together and raise sponsorship? You’ll be making memories with lots of photo opportunities and helping a good cause at the same time. It’s a great family event to kick off the summer”
Registration starts at £10. The registration fee includes entry to the race, a pair of sunglasses, a pouch of powder paint and a medal on finishing. Parking is free. To sign up for the event, visit longfield.org.uk/event/run-the-rainbow
