On August 25th from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM, Wotton Community PARC will host PARClife 2024, a vibrant summer festival filled with activities, food, and celebrations for families and individuals. Attendees can participate in a variety of sports including football, rugby, and hockey, a skate park coaching session, a junior parkrun and engage in craft workshops and community garden activities. Wotton silver band will be delighting the ears.
A highlight of the event will be the special presentation of the prestigious King’s Award for Voluntary Service to the Wotton Community Sports Foundation. Mr. Edward Gillespie OBE DL, the King’s representative in Gloucestershire, will present a crystal trophy during a short ceremony, honouring the foundation’s outstanding community service.
Festival-goers can indulge in a delicious BBQ alongside sweet treats like cakes and cookies. A range of non-alcoholic beverages will be available, as well as chilled beers, ciders, and perrys for those looking to raise a glass to community spirit.
The festival will also feature inclusive sports activities hosted by local clubs, including football games by Wotton Rovers Youth Football Club, friendly hockey matches by Wotton Hockey Club, and a showcase rugby match by Wotton Rugby Club. The Wotton Walking Football Club will be in force, highlighting this emerging sport to those over 50. Join the community in celebrating the bank holiday at PARClife 2024.
