On Saturday 15 June 2024 (12pm to 4pm), Longfield Hospice is hosting a clothing sale with a difference for budget-savvy shoppers. Instead of paying by item, you pay by weight – and at just £3 per kilo, a bag bursting with pre-loved clothes won’t break the bank. 
The event is at Longfield Furniture Shop, Unit D1, Kingfisher Business Park, London Road, Thrupp, Stroud GL5 2BY.
On the day, grab a bag at the door and rummage through rows of quality and unique pre-loved clothing. There will be something for everyone with a great mix of styles, brands and sizes on offer.
Longfield’s Head of Retail, Lynne McMahon, says it’s the perfect way to get your wardrobe ready for the summer.
“Looking for summer staples? Pop along for beach dresses, Hawaiian shirts, shorts and swimwear, alongside classics like denim jeans, branded sweatshirts or printed tees for a fraction of the price you’d pay on the high street. When you’re ready to go, we’ll weigh your bags and work out the exact price. Simply pay what it weighs!”
Shopping with Longfield also has that feel-good factor. Every kilo of clothing you buy helps to reduce the amount of textile waste in landfill. Plus, shopping with Longfield will help the hospice provide free and expert care for local people with a life-limiting diagnosis – and their families too.
Things to note:
The event is FREE to enter and there is no minimum spend.
There are no changing facilities available at the venue. Shoppers are advised to take a tape measure to check sizing of individual items.
Shoppers can pay by cash or card at the event and there is no limit to the number of bags you can fill.
