Wotton Lions are well known throughout the town for helping local individuals and organisations, as well as the town itself.
We help with providing funding, equipment and practical help – such as helping Wotton in Bloom with the hanging baskets and providing marshals at local events such as Firework Night and Nibley Festival, and also continue to install additional defibrillators around the town and surrounding villages.
We raise funds through a number of ways; Ride Over the Edge and 10,00 Metres Under the Edge cycle and running events, Easter Raffle and our weekly Meat Draw to name just some. All funds raised go back into the local community and all admin costs are paid for by Lions members, not money raised.
The Meat Draw costs just £1 per week per ticket and that gives you the chance to win a beautiful fresh locally sourced joint of meat – beef, pork and lamb. The live draw is shown on Facebook each
Thursday evening at 8pm and a member of Lions is in touch with the winners to arrange delivery the next day ensuring your Sunday lunch is sorted!
